Welcome to Muro Bello. I'm Chris Johnson, the founder and owner of the company.
My Goal Is to Offer You:

Our Designs and Backers
Muro Bello's designs are collected from artists around the world, and include a few of my own. I then adapt the designs so that they can be cut by a laser cutter and will be structurally sound.
Each design has an optional backer created specifically for that design. The size of the backer depends on the size of the art ordered.
Our Materials
We offer our artwork in two kinds of materials, acrylic and brushed stainless steel.
Acrylic. The gloss and shape of acrylic are virtually unaffected by years of exposure to weather. After ten to thirty years of outdoor use, acrylic will acquire some discoloration, depending on the degree of exposure to sunlight. Acrylic endure temperatures ranging from 40 degrees to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. It is UV-stabilized and has a UL 95 flammability rating.
Brushed Stainless Steel. Our brushed stainless steel is a 304 grade, which can be freely exposed to the elements. It will last forever, but can stain slightly and require occasional cleaning if it is exposed to saltwater or constantly moist salt air. For applications very close to bodies of saltwater, consider using 316 grade stainless steel (often referred to as “marine grade”). In that case, please contact us for a quote.
Hardware and Mounting Options
All artwork comes with stainless steel anchors for use with any kind of indoor and outdoor wall materials. A very thin but strong nylon line is attached to the back of all acrylic pieces for mounting on these anchors. For an additional charge, we will include standoff mounts, which allow you to mount the art up to three quarters of an inch off a wall. When used with a backer, these mounts also create space between the art and the backer. If you order standoff mounts with your art, we will drill appropriately spaced backer holes for you.
New Designs
Once a week, Muro Bello introduces a new design. If you give us your email address and allow us to keep you updated, each week we'll send you a message with an image of the latest design.
